Be Sensual…for the HEALTH of it!

Wanna know a sensual tip to strengthen your immune system?
We’ve long known that physical touch is a powerful way of communicating emotional love. Would you believe that is also strengthens your immune system?
I was watching a TV show called The Doctors. The topic of conversation was about ways to build the immune system.
The 5 doctors on the show talked about a study that was done at Yale University that suggested if you have sex 4 times per week, you would add 6 years to your life! When I heard this, I thought …”How will I fit this into my busy schedule? Not to mention my boyfriend lived in another city…I’m doomed!”
They then went on to clarify that if it was not in your nature to have that much sex, go with your comfort level because the important key is the act of touching and giving affection. The gratification of being caressed, embraced and massaged was the essential ingredient to living a longer, happier and healthier lifestyle.
Numerous research done on child development have made the conclusion that babies who are held, hugged and kissed more often develop a healthier physical and emotional life compared to those that are left alone without physical touch. Other studies suggest that the hormones oxytosin are emitted when people are touched in a gentle, healing manner. The hormone actually creates peace and relaxation for the person receiving the touch.
Throughout my ballroom dancing career, I have learned to be appropriate with touching clients yet educate them with the importance of connecting to their partner. This engaged connection between a man and a woman when they danced would either create a gratifying experience or a bothersome experience.
I think physical touch, whether it’s on the arm, a hug or even a friendly kiss, is a mutual expression of caring and not an intrusion by one another.
How about if you fulfilled yourself with the act of self-touch? What does that say about you?
I believe it projects that a woman is comfortable with her body and enjoys giving and receiving pleasure. Talk about radiating!
So for this week allow yourself to indulge in the pleasure of your own skin and if you feel up to it…give a friendly hug to someone and relish in the magnificent gift you just provided for him or her.
